2022 Ford Bronco Sport in Fort Saskatchewan

Returning to the wilderness last year after 25 years of hibernation, the Ford Bronco Sport returns once again in 2022 to help you tackle Alberta’s toughest trails and terrain. Saying that the 2022 Bronco Sport is ‘Built Ford Tough’ would be an understatement, while the inclusion of a huge variety of advanced safety and performance technology helps this trailblazing SUV power forward. Learn more about the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport with the source for all things Ford in the heart of Alberta: Fort Saskatchewan’s Heartland Ford.

The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport fears no road, paved or otherwise, thanks to a choice of two potent powertrains. A 1.5-litre EcoBoost option comes standard, with 190 lb.-ft of torque and 181 horsepower. Next up, you’ll find an even more powerful 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine, bumping the Bronco Sport’s already impressive performance up to 250 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft of torque. Matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission, you’ll be afforded smart and efficient performance alongside silky smooth shifting and unparalleled control.

Rounding out the Bronco Sport’s exceptional performance is two different 4×4 systems—with the Part-Time Selectable Engagement system featuring an Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly Two-Speed Transfer Case handling regular duty, while the Advanced 4×4 System with a 2-Speed Electromechanical Transfer Case adds another level of control on tough terrain or in inclement weather. Add in Ford’s Terrain Management System™, with up to 7 available G.O.A.T. Modes™, and you’ll have no trouble traversing sand, slick surfaces, rocks, mud, and more. Upgrade to the Badlands model, and you’ll find Trail Control™ standard on your  Bronco Sport, an off-road cruise control allowing you to set your speed so you can focus on finding the best route.

Exterior Design

While it had been quite some time since this iconic Ford graced a dealership, the reinvented Bronco Sport offers a number of nods to the original—both as a tribute and as proof of the unique and timeless design found on every Ford Bronco throughout the years. A wide body and stance, mixed with a shorter wheelbase gives the 2022 Bronco Sport an undeniable athleticism both in terms of aesthetics, as well as utility such as the available 8.8-inch ground clearance, serious approach and departure angles, not to mention peerless water-fording. Rear Liftgate Floodlights come standard on the 2022 Bronco Sport, while the available Roof Rack or Tow Hooks (found standard on the Badlands trim) only help add to the smart capability of the Bronco Sport. Finally, a 600-lb. stationary load capacity means that you can set up camp regardless of the terrain thanks to the Safari-Style Roof allowing you to set up an elevated campsite.

And while the 2022 Bronco Sport is a utility vehicle first and foremost, a range of rugged interior options—from the essential features found in the Base trim to the leather-trimmed seats in the luxurious Outer Banks model—provide exceptional comfort, along with easy-clean options so you don’t second guess tracking in a little mud. An available Power Moonroof brings a little bit of the outdoors inside the Bronco Sport, while flexible storage solutions found throughout its interior provide serious practicality.

From the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport’s standard Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of safety features, to its wealth of off-road capability, there simply isn’t a safer (or more advanced) SUV on the market today. The Bronco Sport helps shield passengers from potential collisions thanks to a number of well-positioned airbags, along with a Front and 2nd-Row Safety Canopy® Side Curtain with Rollover Sensor, while the smart tech found under the hood helps to keep you in control in any conditions. This includes Ford’s Terrain Management System™ with G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain), affording you stellar control thanks to the five standard (and up to 7!)—from Sand to Slippery, Sport, Eco, and Normal. The available Trail Control™ system is an advanced cruise control option, while the available Front 180-Degree Camera with Split View and Washer gives you an even greater view of all that the path ahead entails. Of course, that’s all in addition to Ford’s incredible SYNC® 3 infotainment system, found on an 8-inch colour touchscreen, and featuring available breadcrumb GPS navigation, an available Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System, or the available Wireless Charging Pad and B&O® premium Sound System by Bang & Olufsen®.
