It makes sense then, that the current wave of electric and hybrid electric vehicles would become the subject of custom work. What is the Ford F-100 Eluminator?

Ford decided to mix the old with the new to showcase their most powerful production electric engine by placing it inside a custom built Ford F-100 pickup truck. Possessing a distinctly vintage vibe, the square lines of the F-100 Eluminator are decorated in an Avalanche Gray paint job with Cerakote Copper accents, square headlights, and custom 19-inch aluminum wheels, while the interior offers up a billet aluminum dash alongside an avocado-tanned leather upholstery.

Of course, it’s under the hood where the real excitement happens, courtesy of a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition powertrain featuring front and rear electric motors producing 480 horses and 634 lb.-ft, combined. Not only does the F-100 Eluminator possess incredible power, but it also produces zero tailpipe emissions.

Why did Ford build the F-100 Eluminator?

From Ford’s global director of Vehicle Personalization, Accessories, and Licensing:
“Ford owners have personalized, customized, and enhanced their vehicles since the beginning—from changing looks to bringing the power. Our F-100 Eluminator concept is a preview of how we’re supporting customers as they go all-electric and embrace zero-tailpipe emissions performance, even for our heritage vehicles.”

Designed by Ford Performance, and built with a bit of help from MLe Racecars, The Roadster Shop, MDM Upholstery, and Forgeline wheels, the F-100 Eluminator was meant to be a showcase for Ford’s new e-Crate motor, an engine capable of powering anything from the models in Ford’s current lineup, to vintage vehicles. Of course, this is in addition to all of the other electric and hybrid Ford vehicles on the road today.
